About Me

Greetings! My name is Vinn, and I hail from Malaysia. I proudly present Hitchandhitched, name suggested by my ingenious sister-in-law. Its catchy name intrigued me, and upon deeper reflection, I realized it perfectly encapsulated the transition I experienced when I went from singlehood to marriage. In the past, life was uncomplicated, allowing me to meticulously plan and execute my goals without many interruptions. My aspirations differed from what they are today. However, once I took the leap and tied the knot, my carefully laid plans encountered a few hiccups—after all, married life involves considering the needs and desires of one’s partner and family. It’s not a negative development; it simply redirected the course of my happiness. Consequently, my objectives transformed, and my priorities shifted. Thus, I felt compelled to name my blog Hitchandhitched. This brief explanation is intended for those who questioned the origin of my blog’s name.

Now, let us delve into the true purpose behind the creation of this blog.

From an early age, I developed a fondness for planners and diaries, relishing the act of crafting to-do lists and experiencing the satisfaction of checking off completed tasks. Unbeknownst to me, I possessed a strong penchant for organization and meticulous planning. However, as organized as I may be, I also grappled with a penchant for procrastination—a rather unfavorable combination, wouldn’t you agree? This tendency prevented me from seizing control of my days, resulting in frustration and annoyance that took a toll on my mental well-being. Believe me, there were moments when I broke down, feeling like a failure due to wasted time.

As a mother, wife, daughter, daughter-in-law, successful professional, and even a small business owner on the side, I play multiple roles that demand productivity and leave no room for wasted seconds. Consequently, I embarked on a quest to explore various methods of boosting productivity. Along the way, I realized there was so much more to learn. Crafting to-do lists was merely one piece of the puzzle; other factors required consideration. This realization led me to document my discoveries and birthed this blog. I invite those facing similar predicaments to join me on my journey of unraveling the secrets of productivity. My aim is to empower others to take charge of their days, guiding them towards success and the accomplishment of their goals.

Occasionally, I may touch upon the topic of financial management, as my husband and I managed to transform our savings from zero to an impressive sum of over 40,000 within a year. This accomplishment resulted from our shared commitment to assuming control over our finances. Furthermore, I offer glimpses into my personal life and adventures to provide readers with a glimpse of the person behind the blog, outside of the digital realm.

ect the meaning, I would say when I was single, life was simple – not much interruption because I can plan and things can run as planned. Even, my life goal was different at that time. However, the moment I am Hitched (aka married), what ever plans and goals I have set before is having hitch (hiccups) because you have other things that involves your other half and family (it’s not a bad thing though, it’s just that my happiness has lead my path to a different route). Now, the goal I am after is completely different than what I wanted back then. My priority has changed. Hence, I thought this would be a great name for my blog too. Hahaha… Well, this little explanation is to those who wondered why did I ever choose this name for my blog.

Now, let’s get on to real reason why I created this blog…

Ever since I was young, I love to have a planner / diary with me because I like making to do list and have the satisfaction of ticking the circles once the task is completed. I didn’t know then that I love to be organized and plan everything. While I am organized but I am also a big time procrastinator. What a bad combination right? Due to this, I can’t take control of my day and end up being frustrated and annoyed which is quite detrimental to my mental health. Trust me, I have broken down a couple of times just because I have wasted time and felt like I’m a failure.

I am a mom, wife, daughter, daugther in law while having a successful career and also running a small businnes on the side. With so many roles in my part, I have to be productive and can’t afford to lose seconds. So, I started to look out on possible ways to being productive and I realised that there are so much that I don’t know. Making to do list is not the only way to be productive, but there are other things that I have to look at too. That is when I decided to document my findings and created this blog. I want others who are in same predicament as I am, to come along in my journey discovering about productivity. I want my blog to help others to take control of their day and lead them to success or any goals that they had planned.

Occasionaly, I may post about managing finance because I have been able to increase our savings from 0 to more than 40k within a year after my husband and I have taken serious vow on taking control of our finance. Other than that, I do share a glimpse about my life & adventure to ensure that my readers will get to see personal side of me outside the blogging world.
